Serving as a partial catalogue, the book showcases artifacts from the Amano Pre-Columbian Textile Museum in Lima, Peru, which recently commemorated its 50th anniversary. The museum was established by Yoshitaro Amano (1898-1982), a wealthy Japanese expatriate businessman captivated by ancient Andean textiles, who curated a prestigious collection. Amano inaugurated a private museum in 1964 and subsequently published this book in 1978, showcasing the highlights of his collection. The text is presented in English.
